Our Story

Many Parents have no idea what their children are doing online.
That's why we created CyberShield

The internet is a great big place and full of many great things, unfortunately not all those things are good or suitable for our children. As parents we want to let our children explore the internet, but simply don’t have the time to continually monitor their activity and control the websites they visit.

As my children got older and started using the internet on their tablets and our family PC I wanted to find a solution that would simply and effectively protect them online. Having worked in the IT industry for nearly two decades I was confident that I would be able to find that solution pretty quickly. Unfortunately every solution I tested had some draw back. I didn’t want software that I have to install on every device my kids use, I didn’t want to be continually updating, creating accounts or configuring settings. I simply wanted a solution I could install in a few minutes and then pretty much forget about, confident it was keeping my kids safe.

I never found the solution I wanted and instead took the best parts of the solutions I tried and created CyberShield.

I hope you find CyberShield easy to use and helps protect your children when online. But please remember, CyberShield isn’t a silver bullet and should be used with online education and regular discussion with your kids about their cyber world activities.
